Story
Characters
Tycho Erasmus Brahe
After graduating from the New Arcadia's Old Academy with a Doctorate in Apocalyptics, Tycho founded the Startling Development Detective Agency. Unlike his friend Gabe, Tycho is very intelligent. He always has two things on him: a book and a gun. Although he doesn't hesitate to use the big gun of his, he seems to be more interested in reading the book. Tycho has a brother who dislikes Tycho so much that he left their parents house as soon as possible and even took an effort to change his last name to Forthwith. Tycho's brother has done well for himself and seems to be traveling a lot together with his wife. Constant absence of the parents allows Anna-Claire, Tycho's niece, to see her uncle a lot.
John "Gabe" Gabriel
The second half of the Startling Development Detective Agency. A hot-shot with a rather limited vocabulary. He is very short fused and is always ready to use his fists when he runs out of things to say.
T. Kemper
This cat is one of the support characters in the game. T. Kemper can be called during a fight but rarely provides any assistance. Once in a while this lazy cat can cough up a devastating hairball which will do a massive damage to all the enemies. T. Kemper's special ability is called Grooming (or Dooming).
Anna-Claire Forthwith
Anna is Tycho Brahe's niece and a total nut for all things mechanical. She is the key character in the Startling Developments Detective Agency investigations, to say the list. It is her who directs the detective trio towards their next goal. At some point, Anna-Claire will join the team as an additional character. She uses a Flame Thrower attack, which deals a massive amount of damage to all mechanical enemies.
Fuchsia
Fuchsia is a user friendly version of a Fruit Fucker. This support character becomes available after the detectives bring Anna-Claire a robot, which she gladly modifies. Fuchsia uses a Rainbow ability when called upon.
James Filth
A sanitation worker, can be found at the Hobo Alley.
Dr. Ernald P. Whimple
A hobo scientist, can be found at the Hobo Alley. Ernald studies urinology and is full of crazy ideas for experiments. One of his proposals to the Old Academy involved urinating on the famous ferris wheel of the Pelican Bay, The Sinwheel, in order to study the possible effects of urine on that structure. This crazy scientist actually gets to try this experiment out and produces the Ultra Urine, which will serve as a powerful weapon upgrade, as a result.
Kurtis Swindell
A reputable vendor, can be found at the Pelican Bay. This guy sells all kind of crap in exchange for different tokens which can be obtained by playing three different games at the Pelican Bay boardwalk. Kurtis also checks the tickets at the boardwalk entrance.
Dr. Coriander Stripe
An ex-mine scientist, can be found at the Pelican Bay. This guy educates the detectives on the subject of a mime cult. He tells a story of how some mimes are trying to bring The Silent One, a dark god, onto the mortal plane. Coriander also believes in the power of The Necrowombicon, a tome of forbidden mime lore.
Gernhard Kettle
A social worker, can be found at the Hobo Alley. This guy has a problem with garbage cans attacking him.
